Medik-Lab provides in-home laboratory services, consisting in taking sample collection for various diagnostic tests, to ensure accurate and prompt results for our patients in the comfort of their own homes. Sample are generally performed by professional lab technicians, sometimes nurses, or doctors, depending on the complexity of the situation.

Terms and Conditions for Medik-Lab

Your In-Home Lab Services

1. Eligibility and Scheduling

- Services are available to patients who meet the eligibility criteria established by Medik-Home.
- Appointments must be scheduled in advance, and patients will be informed of the date and time of the visit.
- In cases of urgent need, Medik-Home will prioritize appointments based on the severity of the patient's condition.

2. Collection sample

- Collections samples will be conducted by trained and certified professionals, ensuring adherence to all safety and hygiene protocols.
- In complex situations, sample collection may be performed by nurses or doctors to ensure accuracy and patient comfort.

3. Accredited Laboratories

- Medik-Lab partners with accredited laboratories to ensure high-quality analysis and accurate results.
- Patients will have the option to choose their preferred accredited laboratory through our website, if available.
- Medik-Home facilitates the collection and transportation of samples to the chosen laboratory.

4. Confidentiality and Data Protection

- All patient information and test results are confidential and will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
- Medik-Home is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of patient data at all times.

5. Test Results and Reporting

- Test results can be delivered directly to the patient in his home, sealed then commented later by one of our doctors while visit
- Patients can access their results by logging to their secured account Patient Dashboard and may print the result then bring them to their custom physician.
- The result delivery method is always discussed with the patient to accommodate their preference.

6. Payment, Fees and Tax

-Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made.
- Fees for in-home lab services will be communicated to patients at the time of scheduling.
-The lab test cost is set by our accredited partners. To guarantee the quality of our services, a reasonable 15% tax is added.

7. Cancellation and Rescheduling

- Patients must notify Medik-Home at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

8. Refund Policy

- If an exam is not performed and our personnel did not proceed to the patient's home, a full refund will be provided.
- If our personnel visited the patient's home but the exam was not performed, the patient will receive a refund of 75-80%.

9. Limitations of Liability

- Medik-Home will perform all services with the highest standards of care and professionalism.
- In the event of any errors or omissions, Medik-Lab liability will be limited to rectifying the issue at no additional cost to the patient.

10. Emergency Protocols

- In case of an emergency during the sample collection process, Medik-Home staff are trained to provide immediate assistance and coordinate with emergency services if necessary.
- Patients will be stabilized and, if required, transferred to a hospital for further treatment.

11. Patient Responsibilities

- Patients are expected to provide accurate and complete information regarding their health and medical history.
- Patients must follow any pre-test instructions provided by Medik-Home to ensure the accuracy of test results.
